ANTS Distributed Media provides a web services platform that makes it easier and much more cost effective for marketers and especially local advertisers to place location-aware and highly targeted media on multiple digital signage networks. The ANTS Connected Display platform also provides a free hosted digital signage service for system integrators and small businesses looking for a lower cost alternative for digital signage. Here is how it works.

1. User signs up for a service account at http://www.gogoants.com. A confirmation email is sent to the user to activate the account.
2. User login to the service account to access the ANTS management console. From the console, the user adds a display, creates or selects a display template, creates or selects media into a playlist, and schedule the playlists.
3. User downloads and installs the free Windows-based ANTS Connected Display client software as well as installs the required third party software on the user’s PC hardware, and connects the hardware to an external digital display
4. The ANTS Connected Display client software communicates with the ANTS hosted server to retrieve the media content and shows the media content according to the user specified playlist.
